Luís Carneiro

Diplom Electrical Engineer (1987) and Masters in Business and Administration (1993) by the University of Porto.

His main interests include Enterprise Cooperation Networks, Operations Management and Innovation Management. Coordinated the European projects EXPLORE (Extended Exploitation of European Research Projects' Knowledge and Results), Net-Challenge (Innovative networks of SMEs for complex products manufacturing) and MEDIAT-SME (Methodology and Tools for World-best Introduction of Innovative Market Mediation Systems and Services in Traditional SMEs) and was director of the national project RCED – High Performance Collaborative Enterprise Networks in the North of Portugal.

EIT_M_RIS_Hubs

The purpose of the EIT Manufacturing RIS hubs project is to: 1. Establish and operate EIT Manufacturing RIS hubs in EIT countries of the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) 2. Increase engagement and participation of local partners, support local innovators, raise awareness to and gain support from local/national authorities 3. Be the contact point for bi-directional dissemination of activities and opportunities 4. Recruitment of new members for EIT Manufacturing from other RIS countries

ConnectedFactories2

The ConnectedFactories 2 project will develop a common and structured understanding of key enablers and cross-cutting factors concerning the deployment of digital technologies in manufacturing. It will identify pathways to the industrial take-up of digital technologies and digital platforms by considering legacy systems, industrial requirements and challenges. Moreover, it will match skills transfer offering with skills demand across Europe. Using state-of-the-art case studies it will show how key enablers and cross-cutting factors are addressed along those pathways. The project will engage with research and industrial actors in both European and local ecosystems, not only to validate findings and results, but also to generate a broad awareness about the key enablers and cross-cutting factors, about the pathways and in particular about inspiring cases that include SMEs.
