The Manufacturing Systems Engineering Unit (UESP) of INESC Porto – Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering – supported Portuguese companies in the process of preparation for the IRC Future Match 2007, one of the biggest and most important technology exhibitions in the world and represents all those who can’t make it to the event, becoming an important bridge between the entrepreneurial environment and international companies. This exhibition, taking place in Hannover since March 15 and ending next Wednesday, is meant for companies in the area of information technologies. It is organized in parallel with the CEBIT fair and acts as an excellent space of promotion of technological products and exploration of business opportunities at an international level.

The institution states: INESC Porto’s participation in these technological brokerages “allows the institute to have an active role regarding transnational technology transfer”. Directed towards information technologies and entrepreneurs in this area, every year IRC Future Match 2007 includes a bigger number of Portuguese companies, having reached 37 this year. From start-ups to SMEs, 55 technological profiles/Portuguese technologies will be presented, in an event that joins companies from all over Europe. UESP had already been present at the 3 GSM brokerage last February, in Barcelona, for which it mobilized 13 national companies.
