Neuro-Engineering Laboratory

About

R&D biomedical engineering R&D in different domains, focusing on neurosciences and neurological diseases

Our work covers different areas, like biomedical and electronic engineering, physics, and computing, and stands out for focusing on the study of major neurological disorders, namely Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, autism, and epilepsy. We develop innovative technologies to support healthcare professionals and patients, with impact across diagnosis, early detection, prevention, non-invasive treatments, monitoring, and surgical interventions

Location: INESC TEC.

Where we act

We focus on healthcare - particularly medicine -, addressing brain and nervous system domains. Medical specialities like neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroradiology lead the scope of our research - which, through innovative results, aims to influence other sectors relevant to societal well-being, e.g., education, social services, and the environment.

What we offer

Our laboratory develops technological solutions with market transfer potential, with an infrastructure for research projects that seek to impact the following areas

Equipments

Our set of resources in the field of neuroengineering enables high-level research and facilitates the transfer of technologies to the market.
